Terms and Conditions
Last updated: April 29, 2026
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Claude Academy website, courses, subscriptions, certificates, community features, and related services (collectively, the “Service”), provided by Claude Academy (“Claude Academy,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country) to create an account. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and be responsible for all activity under your account. You must notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
2. Subscriptions, payments, and renewals
Some parts of the Service require a paid subscription or one-time purchase. By subscribing, you authorize us and our payment processor (Stripe) to charge the payment method you provide on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, as selected) until you cancel.
- Subscription fees are billed in advance and are non-refundable except as described in Section 3 or as required by law.
- Prices may change. We will provide reasonable notice before any price change takes effect; continued use after the change constitutes acceptance.
- You can cancel at any time from your billing portal. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period.
- Failed payments may result in suspension or termination of paid features.
3. Refunds
We offer a 14-day refund window for new paid subscriptions if you have completed less than 25% of the course content during that period. To request a refund, contact support within the refund window. Refunds for one-time course purchases or annual renewals are handled on a case-by-case basis. Promotional or lifetime purchases may be marked non-refundable at checkout.
4. License to use the Service
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your personal, non-commercial learning. We retain all rights, title, and interest in and to the Service and its content.
5. Intellectual property
All course materials, lessons, videos, prompts, code samples, designs, logos, and other content provided by Claude Academy are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may not copy, redistribute, resell, publicly display, or create derivative works from our content except as expressly permitted in writing.
Code samples and starter projects we provide are licensed for you to use and adapt in your own personal and commercial projects, but you may not republish them as standalone training materials.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Share your account, password, or paid course access with others, or scrape or bulk-download course content.
- Reverse engineer, copy, or attempt to extract source code or proprietary materials except as permitted by law.
- Upload or submit content that is unlawful, harmful, harassing, defamatory, infringing, or that violates the rights of others.
- Use the Service to build a competing course, training platform, or substantially similar product.
- Attempt to disrupt the Service, bypass security, or access data not intended for you.
- Use the Service in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
7. User-submitted content
You retain ownership of any projects, code, prompts, or other content you submit through the Service. By submitting content, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, and display that content as needed to operate the Service (for example, to show your project in your own dashboard, issue a certificate, or display it to instructors for review). You represent that you have the rights to submit any content you upload.
8. Certificates
Certificates issued by Claude Academy reflect that you have completed the associated course requirements. They are not accredited academic credentials and do not guarantee employment, income, or any specific outcome. You agree not to misrepresent certificates or alter them.
9. Third-party services and AI tools
The Service teaches and references third-party tools (including Anthropic’s Claude and Claude Code). Those tools are governed by their own terms and pricing, which you are responsible for reviewing. We are not responsible for the availability, output, or behavior of third-party tools. AI output should be reviewed before use; we make no warranty about its accuracy.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service or delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, fail to pay, or for other reasonable business reasons. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability) will survive.
11. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that it will lead to any specific career or financial result.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Claude Academy and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) USD 100.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Claude Academy and its affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. You and Claude Academy agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Delaware for any disputes not subject to mandatory arbitration or small-claims procedures.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide reasonable notice (for example, by email or a notice on the Service). Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
